PEOPLE BEHIND CDF

As Stated earlier we as a Foundation are thankful to Mr. Udai Khemka for generating the idea of Formation of a Community Foundation in the mind of people of Nabha.

This Concept is only being practiced in few of the Cities & Towns of India but is well recognized in Western Countries and World over.

A Strong civil Society is built upon and draws its strength from People who work together for the betterment of that Society. In good old days the villagers and the Community got together to celebrate an event or during a calamity held each others hand. But now with the globalization the old system has totally eroded. The Government is not able to meet the aspirations of the Society or to say meet the local needs of the Society especially where corruption is at its peak and accountability of the Govt. Office is negligible.

It is at this juncture a strong Community Foundation has to play its role and make the society to realize its importance and force the Govt. agencies to take appropriate steps to meet the aspiration of the Public.

The selected few like minded people of Nabha have got together to revive the old brotherhood and make an endeavour to reestablish socio economically rich, healthy and clean Nabha.

This objective cannot be achieved without the active participation of the stake holders that is the people of Nabha (staying in Nabha and other places including abroad), NGOs , elected body (Municipal Corporation of Nabha), and Govt. administration.

We request you for your suggestions, guidance and monetary assistance to achieve the above aim. We have a long way to go but we also know that a beginning has to be made and it is the people of Nabha the affected body who have to take the initiative. We request you all to have faith in us and we as a body will not let you down. Be assured that the money donated will only be spent on projects which meet the need of people of Nabha or on projects as recommended by the donors.

We are thankful to the under mentioned sister NGOs and other establishment for the whole hearted support and guidance during the past year to the Community Development Foundation:-
